Alias comic ending... sort of

I know there's a few fans of the book here, so I thought I'd pass the news on.

By his own choice, Bendis in ending the Alias comic with issue 28. He says he has gotten to a point where all the stories he wants to do he can't do because Marvel won't let him use any of the big name super-heroes in the MAX rating.
Instead he is creating a series called, "The Pulse" which will star Jessica, J. Jonah Jameson and Ben Urich and take place at the Daily Bugle.

I'm not sure about this. I guess I'll take a "wait and see" approach. Since Bendis is writing the new series I'll give it a shot.

If you haven't checked it out, try Gothem Central. It is a great series that has a similar feel to me. It is DC and in the Batman universe, but you don't have to have more than a passing knowledge of Batman to enjoy it.

Well, in all honesty, once Alias ends and Waid's run on FF is over, I'll be out of monthly series collecting. I pretty much just focus on Trade Paperbacks now.

They're tougher, they're cheaper (in the long run) and you get a bunch of story all at once instead of in dribs and drabs. Ain't nothin' wrong with trades in my books...

And they're easier to store. They fit perfectly on a book shelf. It's the main reason I get trades.

Buy the comics, how the hell are honest comic dealers supposed to survive if they can't charge inflated prices for a "Scarce" comic book???
Buying trades is taking food out of their childrens mouth's, have you people no souls????

And speaking as a former comic book store owner who has other comic book store owners as friends I can tell you that trades are a rather healthy part of comic book store profits these days.
